GENERAL INFORMATION TERMS and CONDITIONS


Tour Conditions

These tours involve travel in the outback and Corner Country Adventure Tours (herein after referred to as the Operator) reserves the right to alter itineraries or accommodation as necessitated by weather, road and other operational conditions prevailing at the time each tour takes place. Any personal expenses incurred by a passenger as a result of any delay, alteration or curtailment of any tour, whether caused by mechanical defect, flooding, or any other cause are the responsibility of the passenger. In the case of breakdown or other unforeseen circumstances, the Operator reserves the right to substitute vehicles other than specified to ensure operation of the tour. The Operator cannot be held responsible for any late return that causes passengers to miss ongoing connections. The Operator reserves the right, without payment of compensation, to decline to accept and / or to terminate any tour passenger’s participation in the tour, whether before or after commencement of travel, if it may appear likely that that passenger’s health, general deportment or conduct would impede the operation, safety or comfort of the tour to the detriment of other passengers. Travellers should recognise their need for good health and a tolerant attitude, as outback travel can involve dusty conditions. People with known health conditions should not take remote outback tours or place themselves in demanding situations because of the difficulty of accessing medical support in distant or difficult locations. The passenger warrants to the Operator that he / she is reasonably healthy and / or fit to participate in the tour and indemnifies the Operator from all actions, claims and demands arising out of any want of health and fitness. The Operator accepts no liability for any losses incurred by the passenger in respect of any unused portion of the tour of for additional expenses incurred for repatriation. The Operation does not take any responsibility whatsoever for any injury, or any loss of any type, arising from any excursion not operated by the Operator, including scenic flights and river cruises.

The current tour price will be confirmed to you at the time of booking and once full payment has been received by CCAT the tour price is guaranteed at that price. Your travel agent will forward deposits and other payments to us on your behalf. Receipt of deposits and subsequent payments by the travel agent do not constitute receipt of those monies by CCAT, and there is no liability on our part to the passenger or their travel agent until all monies payable to us are actually received by us. CCAT reserves the right without payment of compensation to decline to accept and / or to terminate any tour passenger’s participation in the tour, whether before or after commencement of travel, if it may appear likely that that passenger’s health, general deportment or conduct would impede the operation, safety or comfort of the tour to the detriment of other passengers. Handicapped persons must be accompanied by a companion.  

Reservations and Payments
A deposit of $400.00 per person is required to confirm your booking. Failure to pay the deposit within 7 days of confirmation advice may result in the cancellation of your booking. Full pre-payment for all tours is required 21 days before departure.

Travel Insurance
Corner Country Adventure Tours and / or its agents are not responsible or liable for loss or damage or theft of luggage or personal belongings whatsoever or for personal injury, accidents, hospitalisation, illness or medical expenses. We strongly recommend all intending tour participants consult their travel or insurance agent and take out adequate travel insurance to cover any event and give full travel protection.

Fares Guarantee
The tour prices in this brochure are correct at the time of printing and published in good faith. They are however subject to increase without notice because of increases in accommodation, fuel, transport fares or any other tour component prices.

Booing Conditions
Terms, conditions and limitations of liability under which the tours operate are detailed below and the payment of the tour deposit or tour price represents acceptance by the purchaser of the following:

Corner Country Adventure Tours reserves the right to apply the following cancellation charges:

No refund will be made in respect of any unused portion of the tour.

Unused Tour Sectors
If a tour participant fails to join a tour or joins in after departure, or leaves it prior to completion, no refunds can be made. No refunds will be made in respect of any part of the tour including food, excursions, accommodation, etc., that are not used or undertaken .

Internet Airfares
Please note that CCAT does not incur any liability for airfares purchased by travel agents or clients online via the internet. In the unlikely event that a tour is cancelled, CCAT cannot be held responsible for airfare conditions when the airfare is purchased via the internet. All such risk, loss and expense must be borne by the travel agent or client.

Pricing
Prices and itineraries valid from 1 April 2005 - 31 March 2006

Single Travellers Requesting Twin Share
Our policy is that all solo travellers must pay the single supplement. If at the time of departure there is another single who has requested to share, we will then refund the single supplement to both guests. We must wait until the tour has departed as circumstances can change with new bookings, cancellations etc.

Tours DO include
Meals as indicated on various itineraries; twin share accommodation.

Tours DO NOT include
Travel prior to and on completion of tour; pre- and / or post-tour accommodation; alcoholic drinks; souvenirs.

Luggage
Luggage is limited to 15 kg per passenger . SOFT baggage should NOT exceed approx. 750mm x 350mm x 350mm instead of a hard suitcase: - a weekender bag is suitable. Baggage over the prescribed limit cannot be carried. As space is limited we advise soft bags or backpacks only. We cannot accept suitcases or backpacks with stiff frames. We ask you to observe this luggage requirement. Excess luggage can be stored in our office.

Meals

You will need to discuss any special dietary needs with us well before hand.

What to Bring

  • Casual clothes, including warm gear for cold to coolish days and cold nights (in winter)
  • Comfortable flat walking shoes (high heels are unsuitable)
  • Sunhat, sunglasses, sunscreen and insect repellent
  • A torch
  • Camera, film and batteries
  • Spare prescription medication (if applicable).
  • Most people pack far more clothes than needed, so consider carefully to keep luggage to a minimum.
  • Remember that Outback nights can be cool - be prepared!
  • Please use a small suitcase or bag, and a day bag can accompany you in the vehicle.
  • A reference library, including field guides covering Birds, Wildflowers, Trees, and Mammals is carried in the vehicles

Smoking and Seat Rotation
Government regulations prohibit smoking inside tourist vehicles within Australia. Please restrict smoking to the ample stops en route. Requests for smoking / non-smoking rooms will be passed on to hotels / motels / farmstays, but cannot be guaranteed.  We make sure there are adequate stops along all routes for smokers. To enable everyone the opportunity of enjoying window and front seats, clients change seats daily during the course of the tour.

Tour Participation
Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Clients with disabilities are welcome on CCAT tours providing they are accompanied by an able-bodied companion and do not require special assistance from CCAT personnel. CCAT reserves the right to refuse to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of 4WD tour travel and who may require services and facilities that CCAT cannot guarantee will be available. You agree to not hold CCAT responsible for any decision made by CCAT or any service provider to refuse to carry you, provide any facilities or accommodation to you or to provide any service to you.

Health
You should ensure you are in good health as we are often in isolated and remote areas. If you are unsure, check with your doctor. Please notify us of any medical condition of which we should be aware. If you are taking medication, ensure you carry sufficient supplies for the duration of the tour.

RESPONSIBILITY

Corner Country Adventure Tours and / or associated companies (hereinafter referred to as CCAT) give their notice that all tickets and coupons are issued by them or on their behalf and all arrangements for transport or conveyance, or for hotel accommodation are made by them as agents or operators upon the express conditions that they shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, sickness or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of any defect in any vehicle or conveyance or through the act or defaults of any passenger, or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour(s) or otherwise in connection with or of any hotel proprietor or servant for any failures on the part of a hotel to provide any of the facilities normally available. Such conveyance etc is subject to the laws of the country where the conveyance is provided. Baggage is at owner’s risk throughout the tour unless insured. CCAT accepts no responsibility for losses or additional expenses for any delays or change to any service, sickness, injury, weather, strikes, lockouts, war, earthquake, floods, volcanic eruptions or any other causes. The transportation companies or firms concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event, during the time passengers are not on board their aircraft or conveyance. The passage contract in use by the carrier concerned when issued will constitute the sole contract between the transportation companies or firms and the purchaser of these tours and/or passengers.

COMPANY RISK POLICY
Your guide will make every effort to keep to the timetable and the itinerary. We reserve the right to make any changes necessary due to road or weather conditions, or any issue considered by us to be in the best interests of our passengers. Any expenses incurred because of delay beyond our control shall not be our responsibility. We accept no responsibility for loss, damage, or theft of or to any property, or repairs or recovery costs to participants’ vehicles. We retain the right to remove any person from the tour where the safety or comfort of other passengers is at risk.

Liability
The operator and / or its employees accepts no responsibilities, nor is liable for any act of omission whatsoever (whether inside or outside their control or by neglect or otherwise) for any booking, contract, travel, accommodation or tours/safaris which may result in any loss, damage, accident, detention, diversion or theft in regard to luggage or personal belongings, and will be exempt from liability in respect of direct or indirect or consequential loss or damage, death, injury, sickness, irregularity, delay liability and additional expenses, or inconvenience or any other event beyond its control including accident or failure to machinery or equipment, accommodations, transportation or other services, or any acts of God, dangers incident to the sea, fire, acts of government or other authorities, delays, strikes or cancellation of changes in itinerary or schedules whatsoever, howsoever by whosoever caused.

In these Terms and Conditions of Use a reference to Corner Country Adventures means Corner Country Adventure Tours and any of its subsidiaries from time to time.
