TOUR ITINERARY:

DAY 1 MONDAY (D).
Arrive in Broken Hill. You will be met on arrival in Broken Hill and transferred to quality Motel accommodation.

DAY 2 TUESDAY (B L D)
Broken Hill – Blinman
.
Up bright and early as we depart Broken Hill and travel along the Barrier Highway through Cockburn, Olary and Mannahill to Yunta. Here we begin our journey along unsealed roads. Continuing on we make our way through to Blinman. The town began with the discovery of copper in 1859 and commencement of mining in 1862. At its peak the population of Blinman was over 1500. Today this peaceful settlement has a permanent population of just 22, plus residents of the surrounding pastoral properties.

DAY 3 WEDNESDAY (B L D)
Blinman – Marree.

On leaving Blinman we travel on the plains of the Flinders Ranges, some of the most ancient and fascinating formations on Earth. Enjoy magnificent views of both the Ranges and the vast red desert plains sweeping toward Lake Torrens. Further north we stop off at Leigh Creek. Depart Leigh Creek and travel through Lyndhurst on our way to Marree.

DAY 4 THURSDAY (B L D)
Marree – Lake Eyre North – Marree.
 
Today is what we are here for - to see Australia’s greatest salt lake system. We take a scenic flight across Lake Eyre to view this spectacular sight. After the flight, we take a drive to Lake Eyre North to a scenic lookout at Muloorina Station. Return to Marree for overnight stay.

DAY 5 FRIDAY (B L D)
Marree – Lake Eyre South - Marree.

Our red heart adventure becomes a reality today as we view Australia’s greatest salt lake system from the ground. Occasionally, after rains in the Queensland “Channel Country”, Lake Eyre will fill with water. More often than not though the lake is a glistening salt pan devoid of all life. We take the Oodnadatta Track to Lake Eyre South for a ground view. Visit spectacular mound springs as well as old Ghan Railway Siding at Curdimurka before returning to Marree for another overnight stay.

DAY 6 SATURDAY (B L D)
Strzelecki Track – Cameron Corner.

Wake to the sound of the Outback silence! Depart Marree travelling into the remote Strzelecki Desert and famous Strzelecki Track. Continue through stunning red sandhill country to the dingo fence and Cameron Corner where SA, Qld and NSW meet. Take the opportunity and time to learn about a very special part of the Australian bush; capture the spirit of “corner country”.

DAY 7 SUNDAY (B L D)
Cameron Corner – Tibooburra.

After breakfast, travel through spectacular Sturt National Park. Kangaroos, emus and birdlife by the hundreds. Shoot as much as you like... with your camera! Visit Olive Downs Lookout before overnighting at Tibooburra the most remote town in NSW.

DAY 8 MONDAY (B L D)
Tibooburra – Broken Hill.

Today we travel south via Milparinka and Depot Glen through the Barrier Ranges, whilst hearing about life on surrounding sheep stations before arriving in Broken Hill for final overnight stay.

DAY 9 TUESDAY (B)
Broken Hill – Home.

All things come to an end this morning as you depart on your return journey home.
